The horoscope
is a map of important inner plane influences at the time of birth.
The Bible teaches that God made man in his image. Children are
made in the likeness of nature. All life and all of existence is inter-
related and inter-connected in association together. Your soul is one
with the universe.
Souls of appropriately evolved potential people who are most in in-
tune with the existing condition of the cosmos will be able to bring
about birth and manage to survive. This situation is termed the
principal of correspondence.
The current configuration of the cosmos may map some common
influences. The most prominent features of the cosmic map are the
biggest nearby objects in the solar system.
Therefore we mainly look at the arrangement of the Sun, the Moon
and the planets as they would appear from the time and location of
birth on planet Earth.
Birth sets a cycle of inter-related events in motion which usually
follow predictable patterns. If nothing special is done to re-condition
the wants and desires; life will bear resemblance to universal cycles.
Astrological energy is not absolute. We must also consider:
1) The resistance offered by the physical environment
2) Conditioning by physical plane & inner plane events since birth
3) The evolutionary level of the individual
4) The individual's efforts at control
The character traits of your personality are stored in your memory.
The storage of memory in human kind: the system by which bits of
information are retrieved for use and the pattern which guides the
flow of consciousness is summarized under THE LAW OF
ASSOCIATION.
A brief illustration will help develop what is meant by association.
The thought "Hot" often gives rise to the thought "Cold" because the
two are associated as opposites. The thoughts "THREE, FOUR, FIVE"
often call the thought "SIX". This type of association is called
contiguity. When a clinical psychologist asks a client to free
associate the thought "PEPPER"; A very frequent reply is "SALT"
because the two are associated by proximity and group. If the
thought "SALT" is not called; the thought "SPICE" may occur. However,
the thought "PEPPER" will seldom conjure "ICE CREAM" or "WATER
MELON". An even less likely response is "ELECTRON MICROSCOPE".
It is widely accepted that no thought enters the consciousness except
as it may occur through association. It is the filing system of the
unconscious mind or the soul. In the unconscious mind there is mass
storage of all past events and feelings which in total constitutes the
nature of all attributes ever gained. This is the infrastructure which
has formed thought families (or clusters).
Ancient magi correspond these mental families to the main physical
families of matter. These mental families mirror the main common
activty modalities of human life. For example we all have some
thought clusters related with people of authority. The primary
authority in most persons life is the father and it is also common to
have important thoughts about ones mother.
This system utilizes three descriptive models.
1) energy dynamics -the planets
2) mode dynamics -the signs of the zodiac
3) departmental dynamics -the mundane houses
The astrodyne is the unit of astrological measurement by which the
personal dynamics may be reliably measured.
POWER astrodynes describe the importance and volume or quantity
of things attributed to that dynamic.
HARMONY astrodynes measure the quality of the power delivered
through that channel. POSITIVE HARMONY tends to make life
easier and more productive. NEGATIVE HARMONY which is
commonly called discord, makes it more difficult to be productive.
Constructive and happy occurrence are possible in low harmony
areas but the difficulty level is greater.
Sometimes the power score for a planet is high and the harmony
score is low: so it is necessary to balance this interaction in your
own mind. It means there is an ability with great potential but the
harmony is so low that the ability may be misdirected and attract
trouble until action is taken to form constructive habits. This re-
education can be accomplished with a degree of difficulty consistent
with the low harmony score. If the individual has actually done well
despite the discord it is a mark that was earned with effort.
One further example will be mentioned. Sometimes the harmony
score is very high but the power score is very low. This would
indicate that one is very well adjusted relative to this dynamic. All
things related to this dynamic go very well and it is easy but because
of the very low power score this dynamic lacks importance and it is
not very evident in your overall character.
There are remedies to correct deficiencies and increase your
success; if you wish to take action. One who takes planned directed
action can in time acquire significantly improved habits.
As mentioned above astrological influence is not absolute.
Therefore the gross total of astrodynes is not as relevant as the
distribution of the scores relative to each other. One should rate each
dynamic in relation to what is average or normal for the individual.
If we can assume that the astrodyne scores of a population match a
normal curve we would have a measure of how outstanding high
low or moderate scores are.
Accordingly 68% of all scores in a normal population bell curve are
within 1 standard deviation from the mean score.
95% of all scores are within 2 standard deviations from the mean
score.
99.7% of all scores are within 3 standard deviations.
Using this standard we can denote all astrodyne scores as being
moderate, very high or low. We can distinguish truly exceptional
scores form what are average scores.
The net effect of astrological factors on the events of life is about
50%.
Astrology is sometimes called inner plane weather. The weather
metaphor works very well to illustrate the strength of the
astrological effect. For example, you can go out in a storm and with
some difficulty still accomplish many tasks. The weather may
hamper your progress but if you make reasonable preparations you
can still function in all but the most sever conditions (hurricanes,
floods, forest fire, severe winter blizzard). Taking appropriate cover
in these situations is usually effective. Accurate weather predictions
help us cope with these things. We can stay where it is safe until
danger passes. We can dress for the weather and build sturdy
buildings. In spite of this many are caught unaware and unprepared.
The same holds true with astrology. We can make plans to act
accordingly and in more severe situations we can alter our actions
until it is safe. So if there is heavy Mars discord and/or Uranus
discord you may decide that driving could result in an accident and
therefore you change your plans. If there is Saturn discord you may
decide not to gamble on that day. This is all been mentioned so that
you can understand that discord does not mean certain failure.
Astrological information provides an opportunity to evade disaster
or to succeed because you are able to take precautions. If the
horoscope shows high harmony and higher than normal astrodyne
power then you would know that at the time in question there may
be an opportunity or unusual luck so that you can succeed in a
manner that is beyond what is normal for you.
You might think that the astrological effect is weak and therefore
can be ignored. After all most people know little or nothing about
astrology and they still cope and succeed quite well. Given this it is
none the less very remarkable that almost always the astrological
information matches closely what actually occurs. Generally most
people just float along with the astrological current and end up near
where one would predict with small variations.
When you have astrological knowledge you have an advantage that
can be useful.

The Planets
The Sun is the seat of individuality and the inborn drive for
significance. Man has a psychological need to control a piece of
territory to insure survival. The Sun is related to the social status,
and the degree of self-esteem, power in the community, the ability to
be a leader and to deal with authority. Foremen, managers,
politicians, military commanders, gang leaders, supervisors and
social leaders must all utilize large amounts of Sun type behaviour.
The Moon denotes the domestic thought family. It refers to the seat
of the mentality; not the cerebral thoughts themselves but rather the
mood or mental state. The relative power score of the Moon
indicates the intensity of mental states, feelings, emotions and
sensitivity in common generalized matters. The Moon describes the
degree of interest in family life, raising children, caring for those
who need help and doing domestic work. It includes dealings with
the common folk and the public in general. Its quality is intuitive,
understanding, changeable, feminine and fluctuates like the tides of
the sea.
Mercury relates to cerebral activity, perception, nerve currents and
all manner of expression. This family of thoughts influences
intellectual ability and the habits of thought, the ability to
communicate and define the various components of any situation. It
maps the ability to figure things out.
Venus relates to friendship, affection, mirth, conjugality,
appreciation of art and beauty. Venus thoughts can be artistic, mild,
fun loving, pleasant, warm hearted and sometimes promiscuous.
Mars relates to thoughts of lust, destruction, construction, combat,
war and strife. Mars thoughts include the ability to fight aggressors,
deal with injury, surgery, infection, inflammation and accidents.
Mars thought is required to build an edifice or to succeed in a
difficult or complex task. Survival is only possible with some degree
of Mars thought.
Jupiter relates to opulence, good cheer, generosity, benevolence,
joviality, faith and hope. Jupiter is the religious dynamic; so it
encompasses the veneration of higher powers of authority. It rules
religious ceremonies, superstition and dogma. Many things which
make little logical sense can be sold to the flock of faithful
followers. Jupiter also rules sales and sales people.
Saturn represents safety, caution, attention to detail, system,
frugality, hard work, loses and hardship. These are things that are
required for business where counting money or devising a system is
important. People with a powerful Saturn are equipped to make
purchases at the lowest price. Saturn thoughts can be associated with
being selfish, greedy, cheap and jealous.
Uranus represents individualism, inventiveness and freedom from
tradition. It governs unexpected meetings with old friends. It implies
some intellectual ability like the related thoughts of Mercury but
Uranus is more original and unusual than Mercury. Uranus is the
upper octave expression of Mercury. Uranus relates to departures
from habit, anarchy, new gadgets, high technology, automobiles,
computers and some aspects of astrology.
Neptune is the upper octave expression of Venus. Neptune
influences the arts like Venus. Neptune stands for illusion, drama,
dreams, imagination, fantasy, visions and ideals. Neptune people are
utopians. They want a perfect world and tend not to accept reality
unless it has features that will gratify these desires. Neptune rules
chemicals, drugs, placebos, poison, medicine, visions, mirages and
hypnotic suggestion. Neptune thoughts can function as a mental
safety valve because the imagination can fabricate successful
dreams to compensate for the short falls of reality.
Pluto is the upper octave of the Moon. It is the dynamic of universal
welfare, co-operation and group activity. Sometimes the goal of
these co-operative efforts is noble and moral but the discordant side
of Pluto represents coercive, criminal brotherhoods and racist
fraternal groups.
Mid Heaven (abbreviated M.C.) is like a broadcast antenna beaming
your activity to a public audience. The Mid Heaven is actually the
cusp of the Tenth House. All planets in the Tenth House also affect
the public image. If your M.C. is powerful a lot of your activity will
reach public view.
The Ascendant is like the ground wire of the soul. The Ascendant
represents the personality, personal matters and health. It is actually
the cusp of the First House and all of the planets in the First house
influence personal affairs. Personal matters and the personality are
important to everyone. A powerful Ascendant indicates an intense
personality with pronounced features and this means that much
energy is directed inward to an interest in personal and more private
matters.
ut some people have much more Ascendant power. A powerful
The Signs
Each sign is a region of 30 degrees corresponding to 1/12 of the
apparent path of the Sun during the year. One of the ways
astrologers measure the position of the planets and the house cusps
is along this path of signs called the ecliptic. Being located in a
particular sign gives added modulation to the energy of the planets.
A few examples will explain what is meant by modulation. A
musical tone sounded on a piano and a trombone is modified
through a different type of instrument. A speech which is televised
differs from a speech read in a newspaper and other different results
occur from hearing a speech in person.
Each sign has its dominant thought which modulates everything
within its bounds. This is signified by the key word of the sign. The
signs will all be described individually but broad categories are
employed to make comparison and contrast possible.
Moveable signs: highly changeable, highly active
Mutable signs: medium activity, changes occur for a reason
Fixed signs: steadfast, rigid, real changes are unlikely
Fire signs: more competitive, courageous, leader oriented
Earth signs: practical, steady, plan for the future
Air signs: versatile, free, fickle, intelligent, and inquisitive
Water signs: sensitive, emotional, tempestuous
Positive signs are always followed by negative signs. Positive signs
are active and masculine while negative signs are reactive, receptive
and feminine in nature.
The first sign is extremely positive and the second sign is
moderately negative but the last sign is extremely negative and the
second to last sign is moderately positive. The middle signs of the
zodiac are more homogeneous and balanced. The most pronounced
border between signs is between Pisces and Aries. This corresponds
to the time of the first day of spring, the vernal equinox.
Signs of the First Emanation
Aries, Taurus, Gemini and Cancer are classed as the first emanation
The first emanation signs promote behaviours which are inspired
By ones internal urges wishes and desires. These self-starting people
are
inclined to follow a path of their own direction.
Aries - I am (moveable, fire, positive)
The sign of the ram is combative, competitive, a leader, optimistic,
officious, perhaps over confident, quick to act, reluctant to admit
mistakes, rash in love and lively in conversation and politics.
(related to Mars)
TAURUS - I have (fixed, earth, negative)
The sign of the bull is steadfast, self-reliant, steadily plodding
quite patient, stubborn but once irritated becomes excessively
violent
and tends to remain that way longer than others. Possessive with
money and goods. We might consider Taurus to be stable but
obstinate. There are times in the spring when the developing plant
growth must be able to conserve and consolidate so that strength is
available for renewed growth when warmer days make extended
development of little risk and the sun moves from Taurus and into
Gemini.
(Taurus is related to Venus)
Gemini - I Think ( mutable, air, positive)
The sign of the twins is very communicative, likes to talk and read
study and teach. They are intellectual, reasonable. versatile and
perhaps so versatile that there is no specialization or single specific
career. Gemini people have expanding and restless tendencies.
(Gemini is related to Mercury)
Cancer - I feel (moveable water negative)
The sign of the crab promotes behaviour which is sometimes touchy
and sensitive to change. Cancer people are home-bodies with a
tenacious grasp on things familiar and domestic. Although Cancers
become easily upset; they act to safeguard security with great
determination. Shelter is sought in the home (crab’s shell). Cancer
influenced people should adopt an attitude that the world is a
friendly place. Direction should be provided so that endless
wandering through the tidal flats of emotion can be converted to
constructive environmental improvement and adaptation.
(Cancer is related to the Moon )
Signs of the second emanation
The fifth to eighth signs are classified as second emanation.
Generally these signs influence people to be bound by consideration
of other people's wishes in the way that they execute their own plan.
These co-operators are directing their own affairs with some
modification to accommodate the needs of others.
LEO I will (fixed, fire, positive)
The sign of the lion tends toward courage, constancy and undaunted
perseverance. They are magnanimous, generous, faithful and very
ambitious. They are social, aspire to rule and have a talent for
deputizing workers. They may exhibit dominant behaviour and like
to show off.
(Leo is related to the Sun)
Virgo - I analyse (mutable, earth, negative)
The sign of the Virgin if powerful in the birth chart marks such a
person to be predisposed to plan for the future, be industrious,
modest, contemplative, intellectual and critical. On the discordant
side of being critical they may to be overly critical to the point that
no truly constructive result is likely. Virgo corresponds to the season
of the year when the crops have reached maturity. It is harvest time
since the days are becoming cooler and shorter. It is time to store
them for the coming winter.
(Virgo is related to Mercury)
LIBRA - I balance (moveable, air, positive)
The sign of the scales gives a predisposition to be just, fair,
affectionate, inclined toward marriage and sympathetic. At the time
when the Sun enters Libra the length of the day equals the length of
the night. It represents the the meeting of the two halves of the year
and the marriage of opposite seasons. It has relatively warm days
and cool nights. As time passes the cold begins to predominate. It is
a positive sign but it has traits of both the positive and negative
influences. It is symbolic of marriage of the masculine and feminine
principals.
(Libra is related to Venus)
Scorpio - I desire (fixed, water, negative)
The sign of the scorpion denotes shrewdness, suspicion, and
secretiveness. Scorpios are thoughtful, ingenious and scientific.
They are persistent and seek sexual gratification. They carry a
weapon in the tail where you least expect it. As temperatures cool
freezing occurs. The fixed water designation conjures the image of
ice and approaching coldness. To attain ones ultimate preservation
in such an environment resourcefulness an determination are an
asset.
(Scorpio is related to Mars and Pluto)
Signs of the Third Emanation
The ninth to twelfth signs are categorized as third emanation.
Influences in these four signs operate more on the basis of other
peoples points of view and opinions than inwardly derived
intentions. These outwardly motivated people tend to act on plans
already conceived by others, while their own true feelings are held
in reserve.
Sagittarius - I see (mutable, fire, positive)
The sign of the archer influences people to be religious, charitable,
philosophical and loyal. They aim for the main target rather than
being nit pickers who pursue side issues. At the time of the year
when the Sun enters Sagittarius the leaves of deciduous forests have
dropped their leaves thus exposing things which had previously
been camouflaged. Some streams or creeks may have run dry or
been frozen over. This is helpful for hunters. They have improved
mobility which promotes exploration and better vision to spot what
is really there. This suits Sagittarians to pursue philosophy, religious
pursuits, and have improved intuition and predictive abilities. These
people can be gifted seers.
(Sagittarius is related to Jupiter)
Capricorn - I use (moveable, earth, negative)
The sign of the goat denotes cunning, deceit and ambition. Those
with a powerful Capricorn tend to develop success in business. The
key word is “I use”, so we understand that they will skillfully use
every possible foot hold to reach their planned goal. The shortest
day of the year is at the commencement of Capricorn. It marks the
time when the days start to lengthen. It is symbolic of the birth of a
new Sun cycle (Christmas). The journey to the top of the mountain
begins at the bottom. The journey may at times be treacherous so the
sure footed goat knows that this is the route to the vegetation on the
higher slopes, thus safety, perseverance and skill are necessary.
(Capricorn is related to Saturn)
Aquarius - I know (fixed, air, positive)
Those identified with the sign of the water bearer, desire scientific
verification of all theories. They are progressive, humanitarians who
are sincere, innovative, radical and revolutionary. They insist on
forming their own opinion and they reject reliance upon blind faith.
In our northern latitudes this time is typified by the snowy
landscapes of mid-winter. Winter's fury has already been
experienced and although more cold weather still lies in store all
surviving creatures have learnt to apply techniques of reliable value.
During this time the Sun begins to climb ever higher into the clear
winter sky. The temperatures may begin to moderate slightly and
winter may begin to show signs of receding.
(Aquarius is related to Saturn and Uranus)
Pisces - I believe (mutable, water, negative)
The sign of the two fish represents a group of people who are
dreamy and religiously inclined. Naive and innocent well wishers,
they are often disposed to reliance on faith and belief. Pisceans are
idealists who cherish marriage, peace, good will and sympathy.
They are particular in their ways since they have already established
ideals and remain faithful to these ideals. They tend to be
mediumistic, psychic, sensitive, emotional and heavily influenced
by the inner plane and outer plane environment. When the Sun is in
Pisces, it is the last days before the equinox. Thus Pisces people
have faith that a new dawning of spring is soon to come.
(Pisces is related to Jupiter and Neptune)
The Mundane Houses
Thought families (Planets) are modulated by environmental qualities
(Signs) in various departments of life (Houses).
When we discuss the departments of life we could list:
Personal affairs
Possessions
Brethren
Home
Children and entertainment
Work
Partnership
Etc.
We commonly extrapolate or enlarge on these various departmental
descriptions by associating related concepts. If we consider
partnership it could be a spouse, a competitor, an opponent or
adversary. For a country partners could be trading partners, allies in
combat or a blood enemy.
Each mundane house represents 1/12 of the apparent path of the Sun
during one day in a particular location. In the horoscope chart wheel
each spoke of the wheel is one of the twelve house cusps. At the tip
of each spoke or cusp is marked a position in degrees and minutes of
the sign location relative to the ecliptic that co-insides with this
position.
The horizontal spoke is the horizon. On the left side is the
Ascendant or First House Cusp. All of the space below until the next
spoke below is the First House.
This next spoke is the Second House Cusp. If you see a planet
symbol in a particular house this means that the thought family
represented by that planet expresses itself in that department of life.
For example if Saturn is in Taurus and in the Second House, then
determined and steady thoughts (Taurus) of system and heavy
responsibility (Saturn) express in relation to personal possessions
(Second House).
Now if we carry on around the wheel we find the Third House just
below the Second House. The next spoke is the vertical line. It is the
Fourth House Cusp and it marks the lowest point in the daily
movement of the Sun. This is at the bottom of the vertical line and it
is called the nadir. If we follow the vertical line to the top we have
the Mid-Heaven or the 10th house cusp.
The 1st House relates to personal matters, personality factors,
personal health.
The 2nd House relates to personal possessions, personal wealth,
belongings.
The 3rd House relates to brethren, family, relatives, the
neighbourhood, neighbours, short journeys, letters and studying,
The 4th House relates to the father, the fathers estate, the home and
the latter days of life and retirement.
The 5th House relates to children, entertainment, fun, games,
gambling, speculation and romance.
The 6th House relates to work, sickness, small animals, doctors,
police, civil servants and employees.
The 7th House relates to the spouse, partners, open opponents,
competitors, open enemies, international trading partners, allies and
customers.
The 8th House relates to book keepers, accountants, auditors, death,
passing to the inner plane, inner plane entities, spirits and ghosts.
The 9th House relates to judgements, courts, judges, graduation and
publishing.
The 10th House relates to honour, reputation, public appearances,
the mother, the career and things accomplished.
The 11th House rules friends, hopes, aspirations, wishes and friends
in high places or backers.
The 12th House relates to false friends, hidden or secret enemies,
enemies in high places, inner plane research, occult studies,
restrictions and disappointments.
Aspects
As the planets move along the ecliptic they form an arrangement of
angular relationships with each other and the Ascendant and the
Mid-Heaven. The vortexes of the angular intersection of all
emanations from the planets generate known results as the planets
are arranged at ten special angular distances apart in space.
Ten of these special particular angular relationships (aspects) have
specific influences which will generate astrodynes in the horoscope.
Each aspect generates known amounts of astrodynes which increase
when the aspect is closest to exact but all aspects within a defined
range called the orb of the aspect are also valid. See the Table of
Aspect Orbs below. Aspects are weakest at the edge of the orb of the
aspect. All aspects in the birth chart have particular orb sizes of
several degrees for the most powerful aspect and less for the weaker
aspect types.
In the time after birth as the planets move, aspects will form and
later separate as progressed aspects. These aspects will have an orb
of just one degree beyond exactness.
0° conjunction.
The two planets are working together and produce prominence. This
is a neutral and very powerful aspect.
30° semi- sextile - growth, weak but harmonious aspect
45° semi- square - friction, weak and discordant
60° sextile - opportunity, moderate power and harmonious
90° square - obstacle, powerful and discordant
120° trine - luck, powerful and harmonious
135° semi-square, agitation, weak, discordant
150° expansion, weak, neutral
180° opposition
The two planets are working at an opposite position to each other.
This aspect is very powerful and discordant.
0° of declination north or south - intensity very powerful and neutral
Accordingly if the Sun is Trine (120 degrees apart) to the Moon, we
have power thoughts (Sun) creating luck with the domestic thoughts
(Moon). Planets in an aspect reside in their individual mundane
houses and individual signs. All of these factors play a part in what
type of events will transpire due to the aspect.
The abstract descriptions provided by the aspect information will
evoke images in the mind about some particular circumstances that
might be experienced in this situation with due regard to the
environment and what is normal.
There are many aspects in a chart at any time. We
use statistics to summarise these matters into a
unified view.
Once the reader gains an overall and proportional analysis of the
entire horoscope chart and follows the progressed trends there will
be a picture of considerable detail in the mind of what the horoscope
reveals.
The Progressed Chart
The natal birth chart is the foundation of your horoscope. Basically
everything you need to map the tendency of your personality traits is
laid out in your natal chart but as time passes circumstances do vary.
This variation is not going to wipe out what is mapped in the natal
chart but circumstances can be temporarily altered for a short time
or a long time to cause changes. It is also within your ability to
improve or degrade your personality traits with consistent effort.
All progressed horoscope astrodynes begin with the natal astrodynes
as a foundation. The natal power and harmony are already
calculated into the totals for the progressed chart.
Three modes of time ratio calculation
The MAjor Progressed (MAP.) chart advances such that each year of
life is mapped by just one day of real time movement. Therefore
five days of movement will map out the major changes for five
years.
The MInor Progressed (MIP.) chart advances such that each year is
mapped by just about 27.3 days. More precisely each lunar month
maps a year of real time. The Mip chart maps minor events.
The real time movements of the planets are called Transit
progressed. Here one day of planet movement maps the events of
one day. Transits reveal daily or trivial events.
Accumulated minor happenings (Minor Progressed aspects)
predispose us to enter into circumstances that open the door to major
events of the same type. Trivial events (Transit Aspects) of a
particular type can be the trigger for related major events
particularly when minor events have opened the door to such
happenings.
All progressed aspects have an orb of influence of one degree of arc
(sixty minutes of arc). At first it may be confusing to comprehend all
of these moving and changing aspect events and the passage of
planets from one sign to another and one house to another. Therefore
it is recommended that you acquaint yourself with Map Mip and
Transit events taking one conceptual focus at a time until you are
familiar enough with the topic to form a more unified over view.
We have now quickly covered the basics. You do not yet know
everything about astrology but you do know about the basic
building blocks.
On the home page of this website you will find more astrological
reference books and essays. These sources will furnish you a wealth
of knowledge about astrology and other occult topics.
It was noticed that in certain segments of the sky aspects carried larger,
medium
or weaker amounts of power. To be more precise the
First House (angular) larger power
Second House (succedent) medium power
Third House (cadent) weaker power
Fourth House (angular) larger power
Fifth House (succedent) medium power
... and so on around the wheel of houses.
This is summarized in the Table of Orbs below
Each aspect type varies in its power and harmony potential. We calculate these
more powerful aspects with a wider orb of influence.
In direct proportion to the distance an aspect is from it's outer most orb,
the greater is its power. Therefore we can measure power
and its unit is the ASTRODYNE. Aspects are by definition harmonious or
discordant or neutral. Discord is the negative side of harmony.
An aspect which brings harmony carries the same amount of harmony as
it holds power. So a harmonious aspect with a power of 4.25
will have a harmony of 4.25 and a discordant aspect with a power of 4.25
will have a harmony of minus four point two five (-4.25) HARMODYNES.
But there is one complication, because Saturn by one half and Mars by
one quarter carry added discord and Jupiter by one half and Venus by
one quarter carry added harmony.
For example if Saturn is within orb of a trine aspect (120 degrees) with Venus and
we have calculated aspect power at at say 9.00 then the harmony of this aspect is
6.75 First it is worth 9 because a trine is by nature harmonious and then we
subtract 4.5 because Saturn carries discord and we add 2.25 because
Venus carries harmony.
Notice the aspect table gives Luminaries a wider orb and thus more power.
The luminaries are the Sun and the Moon. Mercury is a special case since
we recognize the increased power that a luminary would deliver but beyond
normal planet orb size it is out of orb. The Parallel aspect is a special case.
Its orb is only 1 degree and the power delivery is figured using that ratio but
using conjunction aspect power levels. This means that a perfectly exact parallel
would have power of at least 8.
